Annual Old Town San Diego Parade
San Diego, CA
Our re-enactors commemorate the arrival of the Mormon Battalion, US Army of the West in January of 1847 with a yearly parade and day-long event. The Battalion built a kiln and fired 40,000 bricks and built the first brick building in California — a courthouse/school house. They served the citizens of San Diego.
